The Vikings Should Steal This Upcoming Free Agent Away From the Packers After the 2020 Season

After finishing second in the NFC North last year, it could be the Minnesota Vikings' time to shine and overtake the Green Bay Packers in 2020.

If they want an extended run on top of the division, the Vikings will also need to continue building their roster well — something the Packers have struggled with. One way they could do that, while also burning the Pack, is by stealing Corey Linsley in free agency next offseason.

The Packers may not be keen to let Linsley walk, but they'll have a lot of players looking for new deals. The money they have to spend on the offensive line is likely going to be allocated to getting a long-term deal done with stud left tackle David Bakhtiari. They may simply not be able to match another team's offer for Linsley.

Linsley will be just 29 years old next offseason, and he finished the 2019 season with a 73.8 overall grade from Pro Football Focus — good for seventh among 34 qualifying centers.

On the other side, Minnesota's Garrett Bradbury ranked 28th, and that's certainly a spot they should be looking to upgrade.

Stealing Linsley from the Packers would not only shore up a serious need for the Vikes, but it would also really hamstring the Packers' offensive line. That's a win-win for Minnesota.
