Vikings Get Great News on Dalvin Cook Injury

Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook has been on the shelf since suffering a groin injury in Week 5, and the Vikes' suffered an embarrassing 40-23 loss to the Atlanta Falcons in Week 6 before getting a week off.
Vikings fans got some great news on Wednesday, however, with Cook back at practice and expected to return for Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers.
Running back Dalvin Cook will practice today for the #Vikings, according to coach Mike Zimmer. Will see how the week goes, but he's expected to return Sunday in Green Bay from the groin injury.

Cook was an absolute monster to start the season. Even if we include Week 5, when he left after playing just 41 percent of the Vikings' offensive snaps, he's averaged 97.8 rushing yards on 18.4 carries, adding 12.8 yards per game through the air while scoring 7 touchdowns and scoring three 2-point conversions.
In his absence, Alexander Mattison managed just 26 yards on 10 carries against the Falcons, while the team as a whole rushed for just 32 yards on 13 attempts.
This offense needs Cook in a big way, especially against the NFC North-leading Packers.
Even with their star RB returning, FanDuel Sportsbook has Minnesota as a 6.5-point road underdog in Week 8.
