The Tennessee Titans entered this offseason as one of a few teams in search of a new GM after parting ways with Jon Robinson during the 2022 campaign. After Week 18 concluded, Tennessee wasted no time in lining up first interviews for the opening.

Now the namess of three finalists for the job have emerged.

NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reports Titans interim GM Ryan Cowden, San Francisco 49ers director of pro personnel Ran Carthon and Chicago Bears assistant GM Ian Cunningham have all earned second interviews with Tennessee. These aren't the only candidates in contention, but they are among the finalists after the first round of the search process.

Cowden could have the inside edge as someone who's been in the building for years. He was hired in 2016 as the director of pro personel, then became VP of that area, overseeing scouting and assisting with NFL Draft prep. The Titans naming him interim GM after Robinson's firing shows he's very respected by the front office.

Carthon, meanwhile, played two seasons in the league and won a Super Bowl with the Indianapolis Colts before transitioning into the operations side of the NFL. He spent four seasons with the Atlanta Falcons, then earned a promotion to director of pro personnel for the Los Angeles Rams. The former running back then took that position with the 49ers in 2017.

Cunningham is a hot name in league circles as he continues to work his way up the food chain. He was part of two Super Bowl-winning teams with the Baltimore Ravens and Philadelphia Eagles before taking an assistant GM role in Chicago.

Given the accomplished résumés of all three guys, Tennessee appears to have some great choices to consider.
