Many would call the Tampa Bay Buccaneers the biggest winners of the NFL offseason, after winning the Tom Brady sweepstakes and getting Rob Gronkowski along with him as a bonus prize. But while the Tampa offense looks to be one of the best in the NFL, the defense still needs work, especially at cornerback.

With just north of $5 million left of cap space, former First-team All-Pro selection and five-time Pro Bowler Aqib Talib could be a perfect fit for the Buccaneers at cornerback.

At 34 years old, the best years of Talib's career are likely behind him. However, he is still a quality cornerback. In five games last season, Talib held quarterbacks to a 58.1 percent completion rate when targeting him. In his eight games during 2018, Talib did not give up a touchdown.

In a season where there will be plenty of storylines in Tampa Bay, what's one more? Talib began his career as a first-round selection in 2008 by none other than the Buccaneers. He spent his first four-plus seasons with the team, before getting traded to the New England Patriots.

Heading into his 13th NFL season, it would be a great storyline to see Talib's career come full circle. He wasn't able to win a Super Bowl with Brady in New England, thanks to the Baltimore Ravens (2012) and Seattle Seahawks (2013), so maybe his luck could be better this time around after being reunited in Tampa.
