Washington Football Team wide receiver Terry McLaurin has been battling an ankle injury that forced him to miss last week's game against the Carolina Panthers. The high-ankle sprain prevented the wideout from practicing on Wednesday, which clouds his Week 17 fantasy outlook.

It's encouraging news that the receiver was at least doing some light work at practice and isn't in a boot, but the sprain he suffered is still clearly hampering him.

McLaurin has been a steady presence for Washington this season, averaging 9.0 targets, 5.7 receptions and 77.0 yards per game. In his 12 games with at least 7 targets, the wideout has failed to go for 60-plus yards just once.

McLaurin does have a couple of days to get healthy enough to play in his team's Week 17 game against the Philadelphia Eagles. With the receiver sidelined in Week 16, tight end Logan Thomas benefited, seeing his second-most targets (12) and receptions (7) this season.

Washington will rely on their No. 1 wideout in their win-or-go-home game if he's able to suit up. The Eagles are a plus matchup for McLaurin, as they're giving up the seventh-most PPR fantasy points per game (40.17) to WRs this season.

His status will remain something to monitor as the weekend approaches.
