Outside of the Lombardi Trophy itself, one of the most prestigious awards on the line for this week's Kansas City Chiefs vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers showdown is the Super Bowl MVP.

FanDuel Sportsbook has Super Bowl MVP odds available for a ton of players. One player with dark-horse potential to win Super Bowl LV MVP is Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans.

Mike Evans Super Bowl MVP Odds

Evans has +3400 odds to win Super Bowl MVP, placing him seventh among all players. It's no surprise that Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes (-105) is the favorite to win the award, with Tom Brady (+200) holding the second-best odds.

This is a QB-friendly honor, as quarterbacks have won 30 MVP awards during the 54-year history of the Super Bowl. That being said, seven different wide receivers have won Super Bowl MVP, including two that caught passes from Brady (Deion Branch and Julian Edelman).

Evans will hope to join them on Sunday. He has been continually great since entering the league, posting his seventh straight year with 1,000-plus receiving yards in 2020.

The Bucs' star wideout has been Brady's favorite weapon this year, earning a team-high 109 targets and 13 TD catches, making him a threat to have a big game on Sunday. If the Bucs pull off the upset and Evans racks up 100-plus yards with a score or two, that's been a recipe for WRs to take home Super Bowl MVP before.
