T.J. Watt Injury Update
Watt missing the game is certainly tough news for the Steelers. It was just on Friday that Watt told reporters that he'd been working hard at practice this week, leaving the door open for him to play on Sunday. Groin injuries can linger and be tricky, so it's a smart decision by the Steelers to take their time with the NFL's highest-paid defender.
Watt has been one of the Steelers' best and most consistent defenders since being a first-round selection in 2017. Since then, he's racked up 237 total tackles, 52.5 sacks, 19 forced fumbles and 4 interceptions in five seasons. Sunday's game will also be just the third he's missed in his career, which further proves how reliable he's been.
Even with Watt absent, Pittsburgh is still expected to beat its AFC North rival this weekend. The Steelers are -158 moneyline favorites, according to FanDuel Sportsbook, while the Bengals are +134 underdogs.
