Steelers Pissed Off Ravens' Draft Room With Key Pick

It never takes long for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens to add another chapter to one of the fiercest rivalries in professional sports. That's exactly what happened during the NFL Draft when Pittsburgh stole an exciting pick from the Ravens on Day 3.
Pittsburgh selected wide receiver Calvin Austin III from Memphis in the fourth round (No. 138 overall). This selection came just one pick before the Ravens at No. 139 overall, who reportedly were keen on adding Austin to their wide receiver room.
Reports suggest this pick even sent the Ravens' draft room into a bit of a frenzy.

The Ravens wanted Calvin Austin III. The Steelers took him one pick before they could get him. Someone in the Ravens draft room shouted, “You gotta be kidding me,” when the Steelers took him. #Steelers #NFL

Austin was a standout wide receiver during his four years at Memphis, headlined by a pair of first-team All-ACC selections in 2020 and 2021. The AAC's leading wideout posted 74 receptions for 1,149 yards and 8 touchdowns in 12 games played during his senior season.
The Ravens are, in part, to blame themselves for this draft day anger. Baltimore traded away No. 1 wideout Marquise Brown on Day 1 and did not add a single wide receiver throughout the draft.
It's yet another twist in this classic rivalry.
