The Seattle Seahawks pulled off a one-point victory on "Thursday Night Football" over the Los Angeles Rams, thanks in part to a missed kick by Greg Zuerlein as time expired, but even more so from the terrific performance from Russell Wilson.

The Seattle quarterback's solid start to the season has now moved him up to the second-best odds to win the 2019 NFL MVP, at +950 odds, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

In the one-point win Thursday, Wilson passed for 268 yards and four touchdowns, along with rushing for another 32 yards on the ground. This has brought the quarterback's season total to 12 passing touchdowns without throwing an interception, leading his team to a 4-1 start.

The favorite to win the award continues to be reigning NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes, at +100 odds. Like Wilson, Mahomes has also not thrown an interception, but he has 10 passing touchdowns in one fewer game played. Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are also undefeated, as each player's team success is taken into account when determining the winner too.

Following Wilson, the remaining top five names by the odds are Tom Brady (+1000), Aaron Rodgers (+1500), with Carson Wentz and Dak Prescott tied at +2000. The first non-quarterback on the list is Christian McCaffrey, at +2200.
