Rumors Link Saints to Pro Bowl Quarterback Ahead of Free Agency

The Las Vegas Raiders made it clear they planned to move on from quarterback Derek Carr once this season ended. Although, they were hoping they'd be able to find a trade partner for Carr so they could at least net something in return for him.

Carr met with the New Orleans Saints about a potential deal. Though nothing came from it, don't rule New Orleans out now that he's a free agent.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the Saints are one of a few teams expected to pursue Carr on the open market. The New York Jets, Tennessee Titans and Carolina Panthers are also in the mix.

Even if Carr doesn't sign with the Saints, there are enough QB-needy teams that he should have very little worry that he will get a contract that is equal to or better than his current deal with the Raiders.
