Sonny Gray Injury Update
This is great news for Cincinnati after some minor hiccups during his rehab. Gray initially went on the 10-day injured list with groin tightness that popped up during his last start on June 8. He's been out of the rotation since, so he'll be greeted with a warm welcome in his return.
Gray sports a measley 1-4 record this year but he also owns a 3.42 ERA, so the blame doesn't fall solely on him. He's racked up 65 strikeouts across 50.0 innings so far in 2021 as well.
Getting the two-time All-Star's arm back in the rotation will be a huge boost for the Reds as they look to turn things around. A late-season run isn't out of the question for Cincinnati, who own the third-best odds to win the NL Central at +750.
