Ravens Lose Another Corner to Serious Knee Injury
By Max Staley

The Baltimore Ravens have had some brutal injury luck to open the year. They've been decimated up and down the roster, but they've been hit particularly hard at running back and corner. Gus Edwards, J.K. Dobbins, Justice Hill are all out at running back, while cornerbacks Marcus Peters and Jimmy Smith have gotten hurt as well.
The hits just keep coming. Baltimore lost cornerback Chris Westry to a torn meniscus.
Chris Westry Injury Update
More injury issues for #Ravens: Cornerback Chris Westry has a torn lateral meniscus, per source. Westry was growing in Ravens defense and played 33 defensive snaps vs. Raiders. Already without Marcus Peters, Baltimore looking at options and exploring adding veteran Buster Skrine

The injury is reportedly expected to sideline Westry for a month. It's a tough loss for the Ravens, as he played 33 snaps for this short-handed secondary on Monday night.
This news leaves Baltimore extremely thin at cornerback, and the team is reportedly working out veteran CB Buster Skrine to help account for that. It's a particularly brutal blow, as cornerback looked like one of the Ravens' deepest position groups entering the year.
In fact, Baltimore spent a fifth-round pick on Ohio State standout CB Shaun Wade in the 2021 NFL Draft, but traded him to the New England Patriots prior to the season because they were so deep in the secondary. Hopefully this unit can get healthy soon.
Baltimore currently has the ninth-best odds to win Super Bowl LVI (+1800), according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
