There were reports during the NFL regular season that there would be harsh punishments for violating COVID-19 policies. Both the Las Vegas Raiders and New Orleans Saints were rumored to have draft picks taken from them as a punishment.

However, the Raiders have reversed their punishment, which is great news for their outlook heading into the 2021 NFL Draft.

Las Vegas has gotten their sixth-round pick back that had previously been relinquished due to multiple COVID-related violations during the season. They appealed the league's decision to take a pick away from them and ended up winning their case.

The Saints were also candidates to lose a pick due to some careless violations. After NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy confirmed that neither team would lose draft picks, New Orleans was docked its 2022 sixth-round pick on Saturday.

Two teams have been stripped of picks heading into the 2021 draft. The New England Patriots lost a third-round pick due to filming the Cincinnati Bengals' sideline, and the Minnesota Vikings lost a seventh-round pick due to a salary cap violation.
