The 76ers - SIC Score 93.1 have hit a rough patch in the newly formed Joel Embiid and James Harden pairing, losing 2 of their last 4 including a 29-point shellacking by the Nets last Thursday.

Philadelphia is expected to be without veteran wing Danny Green against the Nuggets as he heals from a broken finger. Green is the only entry on the 76ers’ injury report.

Georges Niang has taken over Green’s 3-and-D wing role, averaging 12.2 points and 3.3 rebounds on .520/.439/1.000 shooting splits this month.

Harden and Embiid have both been nursing ongoing ailments – wrist and hamstring, respectively – and have mostly avoided playing back-to-backs as they prepare for the postseason. There is no indication that they will sit versus the Nuggets despite each playing over 40 minutes in an overtime win over the Magic Sunday.

Harden has struggled on no days rest this season, scoring only 17.7 points with 8 rebounds and 9.1 assists on 30% shooting and 25.9% from behind the arc.

The Nuggets - SIC Score 82.6 have lost 2 in a row, ending a brutal stretch of 5 games in 7 days.

Power forward Aaron Gordon is questionable for the contest with a foot injury, while reserve center Zeke Nnaji is questionable with bilateral knee soreness. Gordon missed Denver’s loss to the Raptors on Saturday, and has posted a +8.8 +/- rating this season, 3rd on the team to only Nikola Jokic and Monte Morris.

Will Barton and Bones Hyland each returned from minor issues on Saturday and scored a combined 33 points and 11 assists on 13-25 shooting and 6-11 from 3.

If Gordon is unavailable, the Greens – JaMychal and Jeff – will take bigger roles at forward and Davon Reed, who has started 2 of Denver’s last 4 games, will likely start again.
