The New Orleans Pelicans have been through one hell of a week after trading away Anthony Davis and drafting Duke's Zion Williamson with the No.1 overall pick in Thursday night's 2019 NBA Draft.

The oddsmakers from FanDuel Sportsbook have taken notice, as the Pelicans are soaring in the latest odds to win the 2020 NBA Finals next year.

Rewind back just six days ago, the Pelicans were tied for the league's second-worst odds of winning the 2020 NBA title at +18000, according to FanDuel Sportsbook, with superstar Anthony Davis still on the roster.

Fast forward to Friday morning after the NBA Draft, and the Pelicans are now eying +5500 odds to win the NBA Championship next year. Surprisingly, New Orleans' odds also significantly improved from +18000 to +10000 immediately following Saturday night's blockbuster trade that sent Davis to the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Pelicans' odds of winning it all next season are now tied with the San Antonio Spurs (+5500) and New York Knicks (+5500). While New Orleans will likely have some growing pains with this new-look roster, plus three first-round draft picks, the odds have certainly been moving in the Pelicans' favor lately.
