The 2020 college football season was a good one for Oklahoma Sooners fans. The team went 9-2 on the year, finishing first in the Big 12 conference for the sixth straight season before capping off the year with a 55-20 Cotton Bowl victory over the Florida Gators. Fortunately, the Sooners were able to recruit several five- and four-star athletes to fill the void created by the offseason departures. The school has a proven track record when it comes to consistently developing talent, so don't be surprised if some of its new players contribute immediately.

All eyes will be on quarterback Spencer Rattler when it comes to Oklahoma's playoff aspirations. The 2021 Heisman Trophy favorite is coming off of an impressive freshman campaign that saw him record 3,031 passing yards for 28 touchdowns to 7 interceptions. He was also involved in the ground game, rushing 81 times for 160 yards and 6 touchdowns. With the pressure on his shoulders, Oklahoma will live or die by Rattler this season.
