The longer the 2022 MLB season goes on, the more intense the National League MVP race gets.

The San Diego Padres' Manny Machado and St. Louis Cardinals' Nolan Arenado have both been having seasons to remember at the hot corner. Both third basemen sat atop of FanDuel Sportsbooks NL MVP odds list last week, with Machado sitting at +450 while Arenado was +500.

FanDuel Sportsbook's NL MVP odds have since gone a change, with Machado pulling away as the +330 favorite, whereas Arenado has fallen a bit to +550.

Machado has been dynamite at the plate this year, leading the NL in hits (50), batting average (.355) and on-base percentage (.432). He also has seven home runs and 23 RBIs in 141 at-bats, putting him on pace for 30 HRs and 98 RBIs.

Only two hits, one HR and a pair of RBIs in Arenado's last four games (13 ABs) are likely the reasons why his odds have fallen. Still, his nine homers are only one back of the National League lead, while his 31 RBIs also rank second.

Washington Nationals outfielder Juan Soto remains in third place at +1000 odds, tied with Philadelphia Phillies OF Bryce Harper, who jumped from T-No. 8 (+2000) to No. 4 (+1000) in the latest update.

Here's a look at how the rest of the 2022 NL MVP odds are shaping up.
