A Super Bowl contender meets one of the worst teams in the league this week. The Arizona Cardinals head to Jacksonville to take on the Jaguars. Let's dive into a Cardinals spread vs. a Jaguars pick and determine the best bet for the matchup in this prediction.

Cardinals vs. Jaguars Prediction

The Cardinals are off to a 2-0 start to the season and look like a true contender in the NFC. With an explosive offense, this team looks to handle business early vs. the Jaguars. They can put up 30 points versus most defenses and can thwart the best offenses as well.

The Jaguars are still in rebuild mode, especially regarding their offensive line. The trenches are one of the most critical aspects on both sides of the ball, and Arizona should dominate in both aspects.

Cardinal Domination

During their Week 1 domination, the Cardinals crushed the Tennessee Titans at the line of scrimmage. They were able to keep consistent pressure on quarterback Ryan Tannehill and should do the same against Trevor Lawrence. Add in the fact that Jacksonville has one of the worst offensive lines in the league, and you have a recipe for disaster for the Jaguars.

When it comes to offense, it is apparent that Arizona has a top-five unit. They can attack you on the ground, through the air, and when all else fails, with quarterback Kyler Murray's legs. Dropping 24-30 points should be relatively easy for the Cardinals, but my focus is on the total in this game.

Jaguars "Offensive" Offensive Line

As I mentioned last week, you can add a new head coach, a new starting quarterback, and other new pieces, but sometimes it just doesn't matter. The Jaguars are headed in the right direction, but they still lack significant offensive pieces, limiting Lawrence's capabilities.

The Jags lack overall talent on both sides of the ball. They rank near the bottom in points per game and points allowed per game. With the Cardinals traveling east, I expect them to do the bare minimum to escape Jacksonville with a victory. I think Arizona will get back to a balanced offense this week and not focus on the air attack as they have during their previous two games.

Cardinals vs. Jaguars Prediction & Pick

Based solely on the expected game script, I'm betting under 52 points in this Cardinals vs. Jaguars prediction. I expect the Cardinals to jump out to an early lead in this game and rely on their run game and defense to secure the win. Jacksonville has not shown much offensively this season and should be limited to 17 points or less.

If the Cardinals handle the early lead, I expect this to finish around a 30-17 final score and cash the under in this game.
