In less than six weeks, Marcus Smart went from major long shot to leading favorite to win NBA Defensive Player of the Year. In fact, the top three favorites from February are now double-digit odds to win the NBA Defensive Player of the Year award.

Spearheading the Celtics’ NBA-best defense, Smart’s lead and odds have increased to -200.

Memphis Grizzlies power forward Jaren Jackson, Jr. leads the league in blocks, and he's made a late push up the odds board to +500.

Miami Heat power forward Bam Adebayo has just one block in his last five games to fall back to +600 odds. Bam moved in front of Giannis Antetokounmpo a month ago and became the favorite on March 22 to surpass reigning three-time DPOY Rudy Gobert, who has fallen back to +1000.
