The Green Bay Packers' success made Nathaniel Hackett a hot head-coaching candidate this offseason, and he didn't last long on the market. The former Packers offensive coordinator has been hired by the Denver Broncos to take over as their next HC, stealing away a key part of Green Bay's coaching staff.
It turns out Hackett hopes to take another Packers coach with him to Denver.
Green Bay's current offensive line coach Adam Stenavich is Hackett's primary pick for the Broncos' vacant offensive coordinator position. Both coaches joined the Packers in 2019, and it's clear they have built a rapport with one another during their time together.
Stenavich was a standout left tackle at the University of Michigan before joining the collegiate coaching ranks. He got his first NFL gig with the San Francisco 49ers in 2017, spending two years on Kyle Shanahan's staff prior to moving to Green Bay.
The former offensive tackle has played a role in developing some of the best lineman in the game while with the Packers. He's worked directly with the likes of David Bakhtiari, Corey Linsley and Elgton Jenkins during his time in Green Bay. Stenavich also helped get the most of the Packers' backups in 2021 when injuries ravaged the O-line.
There's no denying the Green Bay will feel the loss of Hackett, and Stenavich as well if he leaves. It'll be on head coach Matt LaFleur to find worthy replacements during what could be a busy offseason.
