The status of Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans has been a hot topic heading into his team's Wild Card matchup with the Washington Football Team. After making positive progress in practice, his latest injury update is incredibly good news for the Bucs.
Mike Evans Injury Update
Evans was trending towards playing in Saturday's Wild Card game, and now it looks official: Tampa Bay's No. 1 wideout is suiting up.
Some good news for the #Bucs: WR Mike Evans, dealing with a knee injury all week, will play today vs Washington, per me and @JamesPalmerTV.

Evans first suffered the knee injury early in the Buccaneers' regular-season finale. After not being able to practice earlier in the week, Evans was able to test his knee on Thursday and got some reps in ahead of this game.
Now, it looks like Tom Brady will have his go-to wideout as they look for a road win against Washington. Evans' presence will be vital if the Bucs hope to avoid an upset, as the receiver led a stacked offense in yards (1,006), targets (109), receptions (70) and receiving TDs (13).
Hopefully, Evans will avoid reaggravating the injury and not be at risk of missing the divisional round if the Bucs move on in the playoffs.
Tampa Bay is a sizable 9-point favorite on the road, according to FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL betting odds.
