Fantasy football managers were surprised to see Mark Andrews pop up on the Baltimore Ravens' injury report on Thursday due to a thigh injury. He was able to be a limited participant in practice on Friday, but his status for Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals remains up in the air.

Andrews has been a top six tight end in fantasy football this year and it would be a big loss if he is unable to suit up this week. He has become one of quarterback Lamar Jackson's favorite targets, especially in the red zone.

Thankfully, it does look like he'll be active on Sunday.

Mark Andrews Fantasy Outlook

Coming into the season, Andrews was a consensus top 5 tight end in fantasy football and has lived up to the expectations so far. He has scored 4 touchdowns so far this season and has averaged 13.6 points per game. However, Andrews has been the epitome of a boom-or-bust player.

In Weeks 1 and 4, Andrews posted 15-plus fantasy points, but he failed to reach even 3.0 fantasy points in the other two games. Andrews is averaging 5 targets per game and has solidified himself as a go-to option in the Ravens' offense, despite being on a team that features a run-first game plan.

In Week 5, Andrews faces a Bengals defense that he torched last year, posting a combined 12 receptions for 152 yards and 2 touchdowns in two games played.

Andrews checks in as the No. 3 tight end in our Week 5 fantasy football rankings and should be in for another big game. Just make sure to monitor his status and have a backup option ready in case he does have to miss the game on Sunday.
