LSU Being Disprespected by New ESPN 2021 College Football Power Rankings

ESPN recently released its newest 2021 college football power rankings using the football power index system (FPI). It is no surprise that the Alabama Crimson Tide lead the way at the top, but LSU fans will be shocked to see the Tigers come in at No. 18.
While the school had a down year in 2020, they've made coaching changes and head into 2021 with a roster ready to take the next step. ESPN's rankings are purely disrespectful.
LSU may have the best QB room in the country and excellent off/def talent. Huge pressure and a fresh + hungry coaching staff.

How do they NOT bounce back?
The Tigers' talent at QB alone should put them in the top 10 of any power rankings. Joe Burrow's successor, Myles Brennan, will look to win the starting job in 2021 after a torn abdomen cut his 2020 season to just three games.
But T.J. Finley and Max Johnson both looked good in relief efforts of Brenanon last year, and a competition among the three is sure to take this offense to the next level.
LSU's defense struggled in 2020, but they'll feature a likely starting-11 comprised of only upperclassmen this season, and that experience should help make sure they bounce back. Plus, the team hired Daronte Jones as its new defensive coordinator, who spent the last few seasons in the NFL. A changing of the guard should reinvigorate a unit that was poor under Bo Pelini.
The Tigers are tied for the 13th-best odds on FanDuel Sportsbook to win the National Championship in 2021. It would be no surprise if they reach the mountaintop again next season.
