LSU Breaks Embarrassing Record With Historically Low AP Poll Position

After fielding what was one of the greatest college football teams of all time, the LSU Tigers have shown this season that sequels are never as good. They have struggled, to put it lightly, giving fans very little to cheer about. Still, it does not mean they're not capable of breaking records. Unfortunately, the recent record they broke is not one they would like to remember.
It appears LSU is not even the best team in its own state this season. For the first time in school history, the University of Louisiana at Lafayette is ranked higher than LSU.

The Ragin' Cajuns are enjoying a terrific season in the Sun Belt Conference, with a top seed in the conference's West division. Louisiana is 601, and they even have a win over the Big 12's Iowa State Cyclones. Their success now has them ranked No, 25 in the country.
Of course, LSU is not ranked. Not even close. They are currently fifth in the SEC West, with a 2-3 record. They are fresh off a beating from the hands of the Auburn Tigers, with LSU losing 48-11.
I would be interesting to see LSU and Louisiana face off to truly decide which team is the best in the state. However, we do not get that luxury. Instead, we can watch as the Ragin' Cajuns continue to win in the Sun Belt.
