The Dallas Cowboys' receiving core has been hit by a string of brutal injuries and it certainly played a role in the team's Week 12 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. It looks like that may not be the case for much longer, though. Wideout CeeDee Lamb is expected to return to the field on Thursday night.
CeeDee Lamb Injury Update
Lamb left in the first half of Dallas' Week 11 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs due to concussion concerns. He was not able to pass the league's protocol in time to play on Thanksgiving, but things are trending in the right direction now.
This is great news for the Cowboys' offense and quarterback Dak Prescott in particular. Despite missing last week's action, Lamb still leads the team in targets (77), receptions (50), receiving yards (740) and receiving touchdowns (6). He has become the go-to option in this dangerous passing attack.
Lamb's return would be vital given Dallas will likely still be without Pro Bowl wide receiver Amari Cooper due to COVID-19 issues. The Cowboys have become a bit of an air raid offense this season, averaging the seventh-most pass attempts (38.4) and third-most passing yards (292.4) per game in the NFL.
It's worth keeping an eye on Lamb's participation in practice this week as the team gets ready for a NFC battle with the New Orleans Saints. The Cowboys currently have the seventh-best odds to win the Super Bowl at +1200, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
