Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields was clearly hurting on Thursday night. Fields was seen working on his left shoulder during his team's battle with the Washington Commanders, raising concerns about the young gunslinger.
After the game, Fields gave a grim quote about the issue.
Fields stated after the game "I'm hurting. Hurting pretty good." Thankfully the QB has a long weekend after playing on Thursday Night Football, so he'll get some extra days for rest and treatment ahead of Week 7.
It's far from ideal for Chicago to hear that its signal-caller is clearly banged up. Making things more concerning is the fact Fields dislocated this same shoulder before, according to Bears sideline reporter Mark Grote. It appears the problem has been reaggravated, which only adds to this team's passing woes.
Fields posted yet another sub-200-yards outing in Week 6, managing just 14 completions while throwing a touchdown and an interception. However, he made plays with his legs despite his shoulder injury, racking up 88 yards on 12 carries.
Fields' shoulder will be something to watch as the Bears look to get their offense going. They'll face another stiff test with the New England Patriots up next on the schedule in Week 7.
