Julio Jones Injury Update Boosts Calvin Ridley Fantasy Outlook

It looks like the Atlanta Falcons will be forced to play yet another game without star wideout Julio Jones. The Falcons technically did not practice today due to some covid-related concerns, but Jones was listed as a DNP in Thursday's estimated practice report.
That puts him on track to miss his third game of the season, and his absence would give Calvin Ridley's fantasy outlook another boost.

Calvin Ridley Fantasy Outlook
With Jones likely on the shelf, Ridley should perform like the WR1 he has been all season. Excluding a Week 4 goose egg, Ridley has gone over 109 receiving yards on 10 targets and 5 catches in all four games this year. He's going to be a stud regardless of what happens with Julio this week.
He does draw a tough matchup against a surprisingly stingy Minnesota Vikings' secondary (No. 8 in pass defense DVOA), but he looks pretty matchup-proof right now – especially if Jones is out.
Russell Gage would also get a decent boost in value if Jones were sidelined. But Atlanta has been held to 16 points in each of the last two weeks, so you might want to avoid starting any Falcons that aren't top-tier stars.
Ridley checks in as the WR3 in our Week 6 PPR fantasy rankings, and Jones was the WR9 prior to this latest injury update.
