Jerry Jeudy Fantasy Outlook Comes With Risky Opportunity for Breakout Season in 2021
By Larry Rupp

While there are a lot of mouths to feed in the Denver Broncos' offense, second-year wide receiver Jerry Jeudy has the opportunity to break out in 2021. He will be looking to bounce back from an up-and-down rookie season and has a lot of upside across fantasy football leagues heading into the fall.

Jerry Jeudy Fantasy Value
Jeudy's rookie season could be described as simply okay. He struggled with drops (12), but was still able to finish the season with a respectable 856 yards and 3 touchdowns on 52 receptions. The former first-round pick also averaged a solid 16.5 yards per catch and led the team with 113 targets.
One aspect to Jeudy's game that sticks out from the rest is his route-running abilities. The 22-year-old regularly uses his elite speed and quick feet to burn opposing defenders. In fact, Jeudy averaged 2.7 yards of separation per route run last season according to NextGenStats.
The former Alabama standout saw much of this production without Courtland Sutton in the lineup. While Sutton may need time to get back up to NFL speed coming off his ACL injury, Jeudy will likely see his targets take a step back in 2021. Even with Sutton missing 15 games last season, Jeudy still put together seven games with five or less targets.
Jerry Jeudy ADP
Jeudy's average draft position is 79.4 overall and WR32 in PPR leagues, according to FantasyPros. That is a safe price to pay for a fringe WR2 or WR3 in drafts this year. Jeudy can be a league-winning type of player given his explosiveness and raw talent in the sport of football. But, we can't ignore a potential sophomore slump with Sutton back in action.
The second-year wideout checks in at WR35 in The Duel's 2021 fantasy football rankings.
