Rumors Continue to Link Seahawks and Top Prospect Ahead of Draft

The NFL Draft is a little more than a week away, set to begin on Thursday, April 27. While no one knows for sure where any player will be selected, plenty of players are rumored to be moving up and down potential draft boards, especially University of Georgia defensive lineman Jalen Carter.
Cater was formerly the projected No. 1 overall pick at various times this year, but recent off-the-field issues have him dropping down draft boards.
Seahawks Jalen Carter Rumors
It will be a surprise if quarterbacks Bryce Young and CJ Stroud aren't the first two players off the board, but after that, things could get interesting. Carter has been linked to one team more frequently than others lately, though. The Seattle Seahawks own the No. 5 pick in the first round and have a need for Carter.
NFL Insider Peter King reported in his most recent article that "It's become almost a cliché how many team officials think the Seahawks will take Carter with the fifth overall pick."

Many consider Carter to be the most talented overall player in this draft. He's coming off back-to-back national championships with the Georgia Bulldogs, both of which were highlighted by the team's dominant defense headlined by Carter.
Carter's draft position will all depend on how much teams are bothered by his off-the-field issues. While Seattle seems like the most likely landing spot right now, pretty much anywhere from the No. 3 spot on is an actual possibility.
