The Los Angeles Lakers are back in action on Monday night as they face the Potland Trail Blazers at 10 p.m. ET. One player's status to keep an eye on ahead of tip-off is LeBron James, who has missed each of the Lakers' last two games.

LeBron James Injury Update (2/13/2023)

James is officially listed as questionable to play against the Trail Blazers due to lingering left ankle soreness. It's an injury that has been bothering the 38-year-old throughout the month of February. All signs point to his status being updated once he goes through pregame warmups at the Moda Center.

Soreness is an issue that can notably keep a player hindered for weeks. It's worth mentioning James was present at Super Bowl 57 in Arizona, too, which adds extra travel stress. James is in the midst of another solid season as he is averaging 30.2 points, 8.5 rebounds and 7.0 assists across 44 games.

The Lakers own a 4-7 record when James is on the sideline this season. They couldn't keep up in a 115-106 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday, but did take down the Golden State Warriors by a score of 109-103 on Saturday. Simply staying afloat won't give LA a shot at making the NBA playoffs.

LeBron James Fantasy Outlook and Prop Bets Today

LeBron James is not currently listed with any player props on FanDuel Sportsbook's NBA odds. It just goes to show that he is a true game-time decision tonight. The Lakers travel to Portland as 1-point underdogs and have odds set at -102 to emerge victorious. Backing Los Angeles to come out on top is a great option here as Portland has allowed an average of 129.0 points over its last three games.

James is among the top options on the FanDuel DFS slate tonight, though, checking in with the sixth-most expensive price tag overall ($10,400). That shouldn't come as a major shock considering he is averaging a dependable 52.3 FanDuel fantasy points per game and is set to face a Portland squad that ranks 27th in defensive efficiency. It's a juicy matchup worth paying top dollar for if he plays.
