San Francisco Giants ace Logan Webb enjoyed another fantastic year in 2022. The 25-year-old right-hander started a career-high 32 games, going 15-9 while posting a stellar 2.90 ERA.

On Thursday, he made an exciting announcement regarding the 2023 World Baseball Classic.

Webb has revealed that he intends to pitch for Team USA in the WBC for the first time. The 2023 World Baseball Classic runs from March 8-21 with various sites in Taiwan, Japan, Arizona and Florida. The elimination rounds are played in Tokyo and Miami before the semifinals and championship rounds occur in Miami.

Webb joins a list of other notable pitchers for Team USA, including Nestor Cortes, Adam Wainwright, Merrill Kelly and Devin Williams.
