As seems to be the case each and every year of his illustrious career, defending champion Rafael Nadal is again the favorite to take home La Coupe des Mousquetaires, the trophy awarded to the winner of the men's singles title at the French Open.

Nadal has the best odds to win, at +115, followed by 2016 French Open champ Novak Djokovic (+250) and last year's runner up Dominic Thiem (+440), according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

Nadal is the best clay court player of the Open Era, winning a record 11 French Open titles. He also owns the longest win streak on a single surface with 81 straight matches won on clay courts.

Unseating Nadal will be tough, considering his dominance on clay, but the Djokovic and Thiem have proven capable in the past. Djokovic knocked Nadal out in the quarterfinal round of the 2015 French Open after losing the six prior meetings at the major to the Spaniard. That was only the second time that Nadal ever lost at Roland-Garros, compiling a 86–2 career record at the French Open.

Thiem, meanwhile, is fresh off a clay court victory over Nadal, eliminating the 32-year-old in the semifinal round of the 2019 Barcelona Open.

While it should come as no surprise that the "King of Clay" is favored to win the 2019 French Open, it is anyone's game once the tournament kicks off on May 26.
