The Philadelphia 76ers' season ended Sunday night after suffering a Game 7 loss to the Atlanta Hawks. They head into the offseason with a lot of question marks surrounding the team as Philadelphia has failed to reach the Eastern Conference Finals since 2001 despite having a ton of talent on the roster.

The 76ers need to make it a priority to surround Joel Embiid with the right role players, and one way they can do that is by searching through the free agent market. With that being said, here are three free agents Philadelphia needs to sign in the offseason.

Philadelphia 76ers Free Agent Targets

1. Kyle Lowry, Point Guard

The 76ers should be looking to add veteran players willing to sign short-term deals in hopes of winning a championship. Kyle Lowry fits that role to a tee and Philadelphia was rumored to be targeting him at the NBA trade deadline. The 16-year pro would give this team a player capable of being the main ball handler on offense as he averages 6.2 assists per game in his career. Plus, Lowry grew up in Philadelphia and has the toughness needed to play in front of the fan base. Perhaps Toronto and Philadelphia could work out a sign-and-trade involving Ben Simmons.

2. Andre Drummond, Center

It is safe to say that Dwight Howard struggled during the postseason as he finished with a plus-minus of -34 during the 2021 NBA playoffs. The 76ers should be looking to add a quality big man to the roster and Andre Drummond seems like the perfect option. He has been a double-double machine throughout his career, averaging 14.5 points and 13.7 rebounds per game. He should be looking to join a contending team and the 76ers have made the playoffs in each of the last three seasons. The only question here is whether or not Drummond is open to taking on a backup role.

3. Dennis Schroder, Point Guard

Another 2020 Los Angeles Laker that would fit in well with the 76ers is point guard Dennis Schroder. Schroder is coming off a resurgent season in which he averaged 15.4 points and 5.8 assists as well as 1.1 steals per game. He is willing to attack the rim and he has a major impact on the defensive side of the ball. In fact, Schroder's ability to disrupt defenders and use his hustle to shut down play calls would definitely benefit this tough-minded Philly defense. He remains an underrated option in this year's free agent market.
