The Florida Gators are enjoying a successful season in the SEC. They are also fresh off a dominating performance over then-No. 5-ranked Georgia Bulldogs, winning 44-28. This victory was enough for the Gators to rise the ranks in the AP Top-25 poll, up to No. 6.

However, not everyone is giving the Gators the respect they have earned. In the most recent college football power rankings from ESPN, they completely disrespected the Gators, ranking them No. 8 overall.

Following a slow start for their defense, Florida is now a complete team, and it showed against Georgia. They scored 27 straight points to really open the game up, with quarterback Kyle Trask passing for 474 yards and four touchdowns in the matchup.

Florida's only loss of the season came against Texas A&M, who are currently ranked fifth in the AP Top-25 poll and in ESPN's power rankings, so clearly it is a quality loss. However, Florida is slotted behind the BYU Cougars and Cincinnati Bearcats in the power rankings.

While these are two quality undefeated teams, strength of schedule is a legitimate question mark with both schools. BYU's best win came against Boise State, who is no longer ranked. Cincinnati's best win was against SMU, who currently ranks only No. 19.

Playing in weaker conferences, those two schools should be undefeated. Many feel they are being rewarded unfairly, and it leads to the disrespect of Florida.
