Following Mito Pereira's 72nd hole collapse and Justin Thomas' playoff win at the PGA Championship, the golfing world turns its attention to Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, TX for the Charles Schwab Challenge. The 77th edition of the tournament Is the longest-running non-major on TOUR contested on the same course.

Five of the top 10 players in the world rankings tee it up at Colonial, including a trio of nearby Texas residents. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, No. 9 Jordan Spieth, and PGA Championship runner-up and No. 14-ranked Will Zalatoris.

Let's take a shot at three players to consider for your fantasy team this week in Texas.

Charles Schwab Challenge 2022 Fantasy Picks

Jordan Spieth Fantasy

Spieth will be a popular pick this week. The Dallas resident and former Texas Longhorn won this event in 2016 and also has three runner-up finishes, including in last year's tournament. Spieth won the RBC Heritage in April and finished 2nd in the nearby AT&T Byron Nelson two weeks ago. You'll pay top dollar for Spieth and his Taylor Made game at Colonial, but his proven performances here make him a top choice.

Talor Gooch Fantasy

Talor Gooch has improved his standing and play again this season and currently ranks No. 11 in the FedEx Cup Standings. The 30-year-old former Oklahoma State Cowboy finished T20 last week at the PGA Championship on a course designed by the same architect as Colonial. His Tee-to-Green stats profiles along with top-tier field ranking in Short Game and Around-the-Green make him a solid choice having also finished T14 in this event last year.

Tommy Fleetwood Fantasy

Tommy Fleetwood makes his debut at Colonial, but his solid Short Game and Around-the-Green play should fit this week. Fleetwood shined over the weekend at the PGA Championship to move up to a T5 finish. His form is solid, and so is his iron game playing in the wind, which is expected to reach 20 MPH Saturday and Sunday in Fort Worth. Look for Fleetwood to challenge in the Charles Schwab.
