The 2022-23 NBA season is in full swing as October comes to a close. If you need some advice on your FanDuel fantasy basketball lineup for tonight's Halloween slate, The Duel is here to help.

Here are three players to target and two to avoid in Monday, 10/31, NBA DFS action.

NBA DFS Picks Tonight 10/31/2022

Giannis Antetokounmpo Fantasy

Target Giannis Antetokounmpo, PF/SF, Milwaukee Bucks ($12,000): This is a smash spot for Giannis Antetokounmpo. He's carried the load for the Milwaukee Bucks in the early going, averaging a whopping 34.4 points, 14.0 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 63.3 FanDuel fantasy points per game. Now he faces a Detroit Pistons team that's given up big numbers to seemingly everyone this season. Detroit is allowing the third-most PPG, fifth-most RPG and 10th-most APG to opponents so far. Antetokounmpo's triple-double potential is through the roof entering this contest.

Tyrese Haliburton Fantasy

Target Tyrese Haliburton, PG/SG, Indiana Pacers ($8,700): Speaking of stat-sheet stuffers, Tyrese Haliburton is in a similarly attractive position. He's doing it all for the Indiana Pacers, leading the team in PPG (23.4) and APG (10.0) while adding a solid 4.1 RPG as well. Haliburton just played this Brooklyn Nets team, and he came away with his second-highest fantasy point total (51.2) of the young season. It's hard not to like the guard's upside in a game that boasts the highest over/under on Monday's slate.

Norman Powell Fantasy

Target Norman Powell, SG/SF, Los Angeles Clippers ($4,300): Norman Powell may have finally broken out of his early slump. After struggling to put the ball in the basket, he's shot 16-of-29 over his last two games while notching at least 18 points in both outings. It was also great to see the veteran's three-point stroke (5-of-12 over this stretch) return following a 1-for-12 start to the season. Powell should get plenty of chances to keep things going on Monday with Kawhi Leonard out of the lineup once again for Los Angeles. Powell's minutes (29.7 vs. 21.3) and field goal attempts (12.3 vs. 8.5) have been significantly higher in Leonard's absence this season, giving him a great opportunity to return solid value.

James Harden Fantasy

Avoid James Harden, PG/SG, Philadelphia 76ers ($9,300): It's been a rough stretch for James Harden recently. He's averaging a meager 14.7 PPG over his last three contests and has failed to top 18 points during that time. His shooting struggles (32.4% from the field, 21.4% from deep) have been on full display during this period. The former MVP could be Philadelphia's leading option with Joel Embiid potentially out due to an illness, but Harden posted a season-low 22.8 fantasy points when his star teammate sat on Oct. 28. Harden feels more likely to disappoint than exceed expectations at this price point.

Bradley Beal Fantasy

Avoid Bradley Beal, SG, Washington Wizards ($8,500): Bradley Beal's inconsistent play makes him hard to trust in lineups. He's alternated good games with bad games so far, topping 20 points in only three of his six games. Beal's had one boom game from a fantasy points perspective (55.4), but he's posted fewer than 40 FP in every other contest so far. A score-first guard struggling to put the ball through the basket means his upside is limited, especially since his peripheral numbers (6.2 APG, 3.7 RPG) are just okay. There are many more enticing options in this price neighborhood.
