The 2022 NFL Draft is officially two weeks away and the Philadelphia Eagles will likely use it to address their passing game. After all, the Eagles averaged just 202.7 passing yards per game (No. 21) in 2021 while having just two wideouts surpassing 300 receiving yards.

Fortunately, the Eagles have the No. 15 and 18 selections in the first round to help them out. It's looking like they could use one of those on a difference-making WR following ESPN's Adam Schefter's latest report.

Eagles NFL Draft Rumors

Schefter is reporting that the Eagles are planning to meet with an exciting wideout prospect on Thursday in the form of Ohio State's Chris Olave.

Olave is viewed as one of the top wide receivers in this year's class. While he's been consistent throughout his Buckeyes career, he set new career-highs last fall when it comes to receptions (65), receiving yards (936) and touchdowns (13).

Olave is also a terrific route-runner, as shown by 20% of his receptions resulting in a touchdown. Add in the fact that he ran a 4.26-second 40-yard dash at the combine and it's easy to see that the sky is the limit for him.

The Eagles aren't strangers to drafting a wideout early on after selecting Jalen Reagor and DeVonta Smith in the first round of the 2020 and 2021 drafts, respectively. Considering how Reagor regressed last season, it's unsurprising that the Eagles are seeking out someone of Olave's talents.

Improving their offense by drafting Olave could give the Eagles' 2022 championship odds a much-needed boost. FanDuel Sportsbook is currently giving them +4000 odds (T-No. 19) to win Super Bowl LVII.
