The Philadelphia Eagles earned a much-needed bye during Wild Card round of the 2023 NFL Playoffs. But now they must prep for a fierce NFC East battle with their rival New York Giants. With a NFC Conference Championship berth on the line, all eyes are focused on the health of quarterback Jalen Hurts.
On Tuesday, head coach Nick Sirianni provided a new injury update for his star quarterback.
According to Sirianni, Hurts is "better than he was two weeks ago" and continues to "improve." The Eagles held him back in practice on Thursday but the coaching staff will know more about his progress after Tuesday's session.
Hurts is dealing with a shoulder injury that kept him sidelined in Weeks 16 and 17. He was able to suit up against the Giants in Week 18, but concerns arose that he didn't help the healing process during that contest.
Eagles fans will pay close attention to further updates as the week goes on. For now, the Eagles are considered 7.5-point favorites per NFL odds on FanDuel Sportsbook.
