Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert landed on the IR after his squad's only loss of the season, to the Washington Commanders in Week 10. The talented pass-catcher injured his shoulder in the loss but is expected to return before the finale of the regular season.

Fortunately, the news kept getting better on Wednesday.

Goedert was seen in the locker room and notably no longer wearing a sling to protect his injury. He also indicated to several reporters that he's "hopeful" about returning from the IR as soon as possible.

The earliest he can return is a Week 15 matchup against the Chicago Bears, which starts the final stretch of four games for the Eagles.

"I feel really good. Hopefully, everything turns out the way it's supposed to," said Goedert. Philly has won back-to-back games without Goedert in the lineup, but his presence is missed. The fifth-year veteran still ranks third on the team with 43 receptions and 544 receiving yards despite the missed time.
