Heading into the season, rookie wide receiver Dyami Brown wasn't getting a ton of fantasy football attention. Understandably, given his spot as a late third-round draft pick.

However, the thin Washington Football Team WR depth chart took a potential big blow on Wednesday, giving Brown some sleeper upside heading into Week 1.

Curtis Samuel Injury Update

Washington's No. 2 wideout, Curtis Samuel, re-aggravated a groin injury on Wednesday. After dealing with this injury throughout much of training camp, this injury doesn't bode well for his status ahead of Week 1. So, where does a rookie wide receiver come into play?

Dyami Brown Fantasy Outlook

Well, Brown impressed during preseason with a handful of opportunities across two games. In fact, the former North Carolina Tar Heel recorded 8 total targets in two games, converting those into 4 receptions for 49 yards.

Brown was getting reps out wide and in the slot during training camp, so he should have little trouble coexisting with Terry McLaurin and Adam Humphries in this offense.

Given the thin nature of this group, don't be surprised to see Brown get some valuable targets in Week 1 against the Los Angeles Chargers.
