Baseball fans everywhere are tuned into the current four-game series between the San Francisco Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers. With a shot at first place in the NL West on the line, and just 1.0 game separating the two sides, this series as postseason potential written all over it.

With all the limelight on this series, Dodgers fans were particularly concerned with third baseman Justin Turner's latest injury update.

In just the third inning of Tuesday's game, Turner exited after taking a pitch off his left knee. Currently, the injury has been listed officially as a "knee contusion."

Los Angeles fans are hopeful this is more of just an injury scare situation. However, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told media he'd plan to keep Turner on the bench on Wednesday.

It's a waiting game to see if Turner's injury turns into anything worse. Either way, the Dodgers will need their All-Star third baseman back in the lineup as quickly as possible. The 13-year MLB veteran earned his second All-Star nod this season after slashing .302/.391/.509 with 17 home runs and 55 RBIs. He's a key cog near the top of the Dodgers' lineup and ranks second on the team with his 55 RBIs.

Currently, the Dodgers own the leading odds (+390) to win the 2021 World Series on FanDuel Sportsbook.
