The Carolina Panthers will look to upset an NFC South foe in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers when they meet in Week 16. Fortunately, it looks like they will have their top wideout on the field. DJ Moore is expected to suit up on Sunday after being labeled as questionable with a lingering hamstring injury.
That's good news for fantasy football managers who have been hoping to have Moore in their starting lineup in the semifinals.
DJ Moore Fantasy Outlook
Moore has yet to miss a single game due to injury this season and has been a consistent target for whoever is throwing him the ball. The fourth-year pro has seen double-digit targets in eight of his 14 games played and remains on pace to set a career-high mark in receptions for a season.
While Moore may not be most exciting options given the subpar offense he plays in, fantasy managers know he is one of the most consistent wide receivers in the game. The 24-year-old is averaging a reliable 14.6 PPR fantasy points per game and ranks No. 17 at his position overall.
The Buccaneers may look like a tough matchup on paper. However, it's important to remember that Moore racked up 216 receiving yards and 1 touchdown on 12 receptions across two games played against Tampa Bay in 2020. He has a knack for finding the gaps in the defense in order to get open.
Fantasy managers can feel comfortable starting Moore this week as there is no reason to believe he will not be peppered with targets once again. The former Maryland standout checks in at WR24 in the Duel's Week 16 fantasy football rankings and has rock-solid WR2 upside.
