DJ Chark caught only 14 passes as a rookie in 2018, but he's burst onto the scene in his sophomore season. Through eight games he's turned 61 targets into 39 receptions, 660 yards and six touchdowns.

That has translated to some serious fantasy production, averaging 17.9 PPR points per game — ranking seventh among all wideouts in 2019.

Chark's breakout started before Gardner Minshew took over, catching four passes for 146 yards in Week 1, so even if Nick Foles resumes QB duties later in the season, Chark should continue producing at a high rate.

He hasn't been hyper-consistent, with fewer than 11 fantasy points in three of his last five games, but his upside has more than made up for those lulls.

A Week 9 matchup with the Houston Texans puts him in a terrific spot to show off that upside as well. Houston ranks 23rd in Football Outsiders' pass defense DVOA rankings, and they've allowed more PPR fantasy points per game to opposing wideouts than any other team in 2019.

Bringing elite production into a great matchup, Chark is a WR1 option this week. He sits 12th at the position in our Week 9 PPR fantasy football rankings.
