Matt Peacock Injury Update
Matt Peacock is leaving this game for Arizona with two outs in the second. His right hand caught a piece of that chopper by Lowrie as he tried to field it. Right-hander Riley Smith takes over.

Not much is known as to the severity of Peacock's injury quite yet. But with a pitching staff that currently owns the league's worst team ERA (4.98), Arizona isn't exactly in a position where it can afford to be losing arms.
It's already been something of a lost season for the Diamondbacks, who are sitting at 20-42. Those 20 wins are the fewest in the MLB thus far.
Hopefully Peacock isn't looking at an extended absence.
