When it comes to professional sports, tampering is one of the main things that's looked down upon. The general consensus is that most teams and players do it, but only behind closed doors. However, it's become somewhat more common in today's society to see players trying to recruit others through social media when a trade or free agency rumor is going around.

It's been recently reported that the Atlanta Falcons are taking calls about potentially trading five-time All-Pro wideout Julio Jones. Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry didn't waste any time trying to recruit Jones, taking to Twitter to make his interest in the wideout known.

Julio Jones Titans Rumors

The smart thing about Henry's tweet is that he didn't outright say, "You should join the Titans!" Instead, he left it up to his followers and the media to read between the lines. Nevertheless, acquiring Jones would instantly transform Tennessee into one of the biggest threats in the AFC.

For starters, the Titans already have Henry, who is one of the best running backs in the NFL today. He surpassed 2,000 rushing yards for the first time in his career last season. They also have a talented young receiver in A.J. Brown, who reached 1,000 receiving yards in back-to-back campaigns, but they don't have any other credible wideouts beyond him.

If the Titans add Jones to the mix, they instantly have a much more dynamic offense. While he's not in his prime anymore, he was on pace for nearly 1,400 yards before getting hurt last season. Assuming he fully heals, there's no doubt that Jones has the potential to do it again.

The Titans currently have the 17th-best odds to win the Super Bowl at +3500, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. Considering how those odds are in the lower half of the league, you can't blame Henry for doing what he can to give his team the best shot at championship glory.
