Derek Carr Has Perfect Response When Asked About Raiders Playoff Chances

The Las Vegas Raiders 2021 season got off to a hot start, going 5-2 to begin the season. They have faltered big time since then, going 1-5 and now sitting in 12th place in the AFC Playoff standings at 6-7 on the year.

That 6-7 record hasn't completely knocked them out of the playoff race yet though, and quarterback Derek Carr knows that. When asked about the Raiders' playoff hopes recently, Carr gave a strong response.

"I think that for us to know that we're still right there and we have four AFC teams that we play, two in the division. It's not going to be easy, but you're telling me that we have a chance. The way that we've come to work is we do have a chance and that's a fact. But we have to win football games. That's all that matters."

While Carr acknowledged the Raiders playoff hopes aren't completely dead, he knows they are on life support, and with four games left in the season, the next loss could very well kill off those hopes for good.

The Raiders are preparing for a Week 15 matchup with the Cleveland Browns.
