The Las Vegas Raiders' acquisition of Davante Adams on Thursday was noteworthy for more than one reason. Not only did it give the Raiders' Super Bowl odds a boost but it also reunited Adams with his Fresno State quarterback Derek Carr.

The Cincinnati Bengals' Joe Burrow and Ja'Marr Chase proved last season the positive impact that a college reunion could have. If that wasn't enough to get Raiders fans excited, this Carr-Adams college highlights video shows just how bright Las Vegas' future could be.

Adams was an absolute beast at Fresno State with Carr throwing him the ball. While the duo only played two seasons together, the now-All-Pro wideout recorded 233 receptions, 3,031 yards and 38 touchdowns in just 26 games over that span.

Even if it's been nine years since they've last played together, they have all the talent in the world to re-ignite that success. Adams is coming off of a campaign that saw him rack up 123 catches, 1,553 receiving yards and 11 TDs, while Carr recorded a career-high 4,804 passing yards along with 23 TDs to 14 interceptions in 2021.

While college football success doesn't always translate to the NFL, Carr and Adams have the type of chemistry that could terrorize opposing defenses. It might take a while to get going, but they have the potential to do things that the Raiders' fanbase hasn't seen in quite some time.

The Raiders still have work to do if they want to compete against the NFL's top teams in 2022. FanDuel Sportsbook has Las Vegas listed at +3800 odds (No. 20) to win Super Bowl LVII next season.
