When all was said and done, Super Bowl LV wasn't close, with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers blowing out the Kansas City Chiefs by a final score of 31-9.

The Chiefs were the favorites heading into the game, but things clearly didn't go as the betting public were expecting.

Despite that loss, however, the Chiefs are still the favorites in the odds to win Super Bowl LVI in February 2022.

Next Year Super Bowl Odds

FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL futures odds have the Chiefs as +490 favorites to win Super Bowl LVI in 2022.

A +490 line doesn't make them overwhelming favorites or anything, but no other team has odds better than +1100. Those are the odds for the teams in a three-way tie for second — the Super Bowl 55 champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Buffalo Bills and the Green Bay Packers.

One deflating loss or not, Patrick Mahomes is still the best young quarterback in the NFL, and it's easy to see why the back-to-back AFC champion Chiefs are still the favorites to hoist the Lombardi trophy at this time next year.
