Chase Edmonds Fantasy Value Could Soar in Week 7 With David Johnson Listed as Game-Time Decision
By Zach Brunner

In Week 7, the Arizona Cardinals head east to face the New York Giants. One of the biggest injury situations to monitor before kickoff in this game is if running back David Johnson will be active or not. If he were to sit out, it would lead to a big workload and increase in fantasy value for Chase Edmonds.
David Johnson was working on ankle-strengthening exercises with a trainer off the side at the start of the open portion of practice. He was then running routes with the receivers during positional drills.

Beginning the season solely as a handcuff, Edmonds' production has picked up in recent weeks. He has scored a touchdown in back-to-back weeks and has totaled over 65 yards in both games.
Starting running back Johnson is considered a game time decision, being hindered by an ankle injury. Despite playing hurt last week, Johnson still totaled 102 yards on 18 touches. His absence would leave a big hole in the offense with a big opportunity for Edmonds to claim most of those touches.
David Johnson and Chase Edmonds have combined for 411 total yards and 4 TD in our last two games.

Whether you have Johnson or Edmonds, or both, it will be important to check for any updates regarding the former. Johnson is ranked as RB2 in our Week 7 PPR rankings, and with his absence, Edmonds would have top-10 upside for the week as he goes up against a weak Giants rushing defense that allows 127.3 rushing yards per game (No. 24 in the NFL).
