Dustin Poirier just defeated Conor McGregor again at UFC 264, making him the clear No. 1 contender for the UFC Lightweight championship.

That means his next fight will be against the champ, Charles Oliveira, who most recently defeated Michael Chandler to win the belt that Khabib Nurmagomedov vacated with his retirement.

FanDuel Sportsbook has already posted the opening odds for the fight.

Oliveira vs Poirier Odds

The challenger Dustin Poirier has opened as a -158 favorite over the champion Charles Oliveira, who is a +134 underdog on FanDuel Sportsbook.

It's not often we see the title challenger open as the favorite, but Poirier's only loss in his last 10 fights came against Khabib, who is arguably the greatest Lightweight of all time. That stretch includes wins over Eddie Alvarez, Justin Gaethje, Conor McGregor and Max Holloway.

Oliveira is on a nine-fight win stream of his own, though he hasn't been fighting the same type of elite-level competition that Poirier has. The most notable wins during Oliveira's unbeaten streak are Kevin Lee, Tony Ferguson and Michael Chandler.

A date has not been set for the Oliveira-Poirier fight, but it's safe to assume that this one will serve as the main event on a future pay-per-view card.
